Main characteristics

New generation of firework control compatible with V-BOX & V-SPLIT

This screen shows main information about the XL3 controller (internal battery warning, hardware connection state) and the loaded show.

This new firework controller is an all-in-one and easy-to-use controller, builds in an aluminum friendly design case (450x470x200mm).

The front panel contains :
- 7" color touchscreen
- Security key
- SD Card interface
- Leds for power, internal and external gel cell battery, arm
- Audio player in option
- USB Connection

The back panel contains connections for all the controller’s functions and extended/further options.
The complete autonomy is assumed by a smart alimentation module witch can automatically switch between battery and sector with an automated battery charger module embeddeds.

The XL3 Lite can be used in MASTER/SLAVE time code or SMPTE mode.

Show preparations are designed with The Vega Sound XL3 choreographic software.

MENU SHOW LOAD

Allow to reload the show.

MENU BUSCOM ON/OFF

Allow to physically connect the firework controller and the in-field V-BOX

MENU LIGHTS ON/OFF

Shut ON/OFF the lights (connected on the back panel).

MENU SEQUENCE

This menu opens the sequence viewer panel. You can easily navigate thru your show pushing "go to begin", "previous", "next" and "jump-to" buttons.

MENU VBOX/SPLIT

This new panel allows access to the two easy-to-use test procedures :

STANDARD PROCEDURE

Compose of three steps, this procedure permit to :

- IN-FIELD VBOX PRESENCE
Test the Data cable connection on the V-BOX. A result message informs the users of the missing/not connected V-BOX.
- VBOX PROGRAMMATION
Clear and program V-BOX with the show information. The show information is stored in a non-volatile memory inside the V-BOX. While starting, V-BOX reload the last programmed show information so users can use again V-BOX without reprogramming for a daily show.
- V-BOX PROGRAMMATION TEST
Match in-field line connection with embedded show program. Line connection must match with show program. If connection errors occur, the V-Box state panel will pop-up and users can test again or reprogram the V-BOX.

COMPLEMENTARY TESTS

- SINGLE
Open the V-BOX state panel and allow testing a single V-BOX. Users can change V-BOX address while touching the main V-BOX graphic component..

- GROUPS

This panel allows to build (create, add – up to 20 V-BOX-, remove, reset) and tests groups of V-BOX. This new concept simplifies tests on wide or specific shows (shows including barges: users can test a barge before to place it faraway from the coast). The "Test group" button tests the matching between line connection and embedded show program. V-BOX state panel pops-up if an error occurs. A message indicates the users the end of the test.

- SPLITER
V-SPLIT users can test and change VSPLIT configuration

  • Gel cell battery power
  • Change HF frequency
  • Change V-SPLIT address
  • Configure PC/CONTROLLER mode

SHOW

POWER

This function powers up the internal power module of the V-BOX. Touch the secured ON/OFF button until is become green. It avoids to accidentally switch ON/OFF the V-BOX power. The power-up procedure can be monitoring in the left-top blue progress bar. This procedure is finished when the progress bar is fully green.

ARM

This function arms the V-BOX. It’s used with the same secured ON/OFF button. A code is requested to arm the show. Users will enter this code thru a keyboard pop-up.

NOTA : To insure more security, a emergency stop key is mounted on the front panel. The XL3 Lite controller will be fully armed when the key is turn on and the arm led switched on.
If an accident occurs just turn the key off to suspend the data transfer on the bus. This key will only stop the data transfer and won’t stop the show scrolling. The show will continue at the chronometer value turning the key on

PLAY

Touch the secured Play button until it becomes yellow. The system will prepare the show. Release the button will immediately starts the show. If you release the button before it becomes yellow, the show preparation will be abort.

PAUSE

Touch this secured button will pause the show scrolling. Touch again this button to resume the show. Release the button become it becomes yellow will abort the action.

STOP

Completely stop the show.

This three buttons are secured buttons to avoid accidentally start/pause/stop actions. Always touch this buttons to the yellow state to active their functionalities.
